I think of having “had” breast cancer; I always think of it in the past tense. The radiation oncologist said to go and live my life, and that’s what I’m trying to do. I will always have to check off the “cancer” box on medical forms, but I am bound and determined not to let it rule my life. I rode roller coasters in October with my sister, I’m going to a Broadway play this coming Saturday, she & I are going to Florida for a week in February, etc. You get the point! I am living my life and you will, too!
