Has anyone done this and would you recommend it? I had a unilateral masectomy and reconstruction. I am now considering a lift for my other breast.

It's very common to have a lift after a unilateral mast. It should be covered by your insurance too.

I had a bilateral mastectomy so both mine are the same but my sister inlaw had her other one lifted last year and is very happy with the result.

I decided against it because the less surgery the less to cope with, for me. Had a friend that had the reconstruction and a lift later. She had more trouble with her lift than the flap from her tummy. But that was her experience. She was 45 and I'm 62. I just want to get to my 5 year anniversary.Had my surgery in April of this year.

Long-term studies look at 5 and 10 year recurrence. The further out one gets from treatment the better chances of no recurrence. Of course someone will fall into that slither of a %, but I choose to see myslf in the 95-99. I'll stress about that...

My mom had a single and a lift. She was never happy because she felt they were not the same. I had a bilateral mastectomy last August.
