I have the worst taste in my mouth and can't get it out. (have tried everything) Everything from candies to ice cream to chocolate to food lettuce. Any ideas? (have thrown up 5 times from the taste)

Traciann, ARRRGH! You have THE TASTE! Since this is making you nauseated to the point of vomiting that may times, you need to contact your onc. I would give Altoids a try (you know... the "curiously" strong mint) Peppermint is a natural stomach soother. Foods tasted lousy to me and there was not a lot that was acceptable. Hang in there but you can't keep vomiting, stomach acid is VERY tough on your teeth! Not to mention dehydration. BIg hugs, Sharon

Sorry got cut off. The first one felt so much easier for me. Salad and soup seem to work for me. Salad usually has lemon juice and olive oil on it. Nothing tastes right and food nauseates me. I hope it gets easier on the Taxol.

I got ginger mints at whole foods... They helped my stomach and the awful taste in my mouth. People swear by lemon drops or lemon heads too (didn't work great for me...)

I have tired it all its the worst it's been today . The first round it got better after the first week . Hopefully the same this time . It's like a grimy feeling and taste that just won't go away . Wish I had Chinese food that would work .

The only thing that helped me were jolly ranchers. And I had to eat one right after the ice during Adryomycin once I did that I was pretty good!
