had double mastectomy with immediate reconstruction on 3/13, ended up with infection on 3/28. two days in ICU and 7 days in hospital. Had to have one implant removed. Wasnt planning on special bra. Any ideas where to buy one?

    Look up a specialty boutique in your area that carries mastectomy products. They will fit you properly and bill your insurance. Hope you are healing well. Prayers to you.

    Most hospitals have a place to buy one but if yours doesn't you can get one at a lingerie store. Sorry about your situation. It's possible that after u recover u may be able to have another implant put in??

    The Private Affair in Thousand Oaks California has an on line store. You can at least see what is available. My insurance paid for bras and prosthesis check your insurance to see what the allowances are and what stores work with you insurance.

      Bonus: they have great synthetic nipples! I don't use them yet bc my scars are too visible, but I keep them in my purse and they make me laugh. Anything for a smile, right?!?
