I have found a hard small pea sized lump deep in my breast near the bone. I'm terrified this is cancer. My doctor said that its nothing to worry about., but still sending me for a scan. I'm so scared I'm only 35.

Don't fear until you know. I'm 35 also do I know what you are feeling right now but just pray and stay calm until you know. If it is bc then you will fight it like the rest of us. So much treatment is out there nowadays. Prayers to u and keep us posted!!! :)

Go for your scan. It is best to have lumps checked out. For nothing more than peace of mind and a good nights sleep. Even if it isn't cancer it is good to have a base line for the future.

One step at a time, and it could very well be "nothing", but if it is Cancer, remember that there are numerous options to treat it and help you live a very LONG life. Everyone on this site knows your fear all too well, trust me, we've all been there and it's all consuming.

I didn't mean to hit enter, so here is the continued answer. Get all the tests you need to put your mind at ease and your fears to rest. Do your research and ask questions. TRUST your gut and follow through with everything you are supposed to do....

We all know that intense fear you are feeling. Believe me, so many more of those lumps and bumps turn out to be NOTHING. I can say "Don't worry" but that feeling will stay there until the testing is done. Your doctor is doing the right thing by sending you to have it checked out. Until this is over, try to keep busy, clean closets, go for a walk, anything positive to try to alleviate your terror. No one can tell you what this is but your chances of this being nothing is much higher than this turning out to be something. Hang on to that glass-half-full. Take care, Sharon

It was hard, very irregular, in fact this lump had lumps on the lumps, and totally different from any of my "normal" lumps. I immediately knew is was cancer. For your own peace of mind, check in with your doctor. Take care, Sharon

I was 35 at dx. It was certainly scary but at the same time, I feel we have youth and strength on our side. PLEASE put your mind at ease -- whether it's positive or negative -- and have it checked. You need to know what you're dealing with in order to beat it!
