Is this normal? I have triple negative, Stage 2 with no node BRCA negative. I'm just finishing 8 rounds if chemo, but no radiation.

    I was triple neg stage 1 no mode involvement....I received 4 rounds dose dense Chemo followed by 6 weeks of radiation...did they do a test for the chance of reoccurrence....I had a very high chance of reoccurrence so they hit it with everything they had. AC/Taxol and radiation. No hormone therapy afterward because of the triple neg. I had a bilateral mastectomy within 5 years because things started showing up on the other side. They still don't have a definite course of treatment for triple neg. They are still doing a lot of research. There is a website for triple negative cancer, that may give you more answers. If you still have questions don't be afraid to be proactive in your treatment....it's your body. I will say though,everyone's cancer is treated individually because everyone is different. If you still don't get the answers you need, get a second opinion. Stay positive. Blessings to you and your family.

      It's been 3 years since your post. How are you doing now? My Mom was diagnosed with TNBC two weeks ago so this is all very new for us. I pray you're doing much better.

    I am triple negative,stage 1, no node involvement and braca negative. I had radiation and now on a regime of 6 chemo rounds. I would discuss with your Onc, as each plan of treatment should be hand picked and designed for each of us individually. I was not given an opt out for the radiation. Please stay pro active. You are your own best advocate so ask questions . Sending hugs your way.

    I had a different type of cancer but I only did chemo because I had a bilateral mastectomy. If I had chose the lumpectomy I would of needed radiation. But I was Lymph node postive and still only had chemo due to lymphectomy I would assume..Hope that kinda helps. Sister to Sister
