I'm ILC I can only tell you my treatment. I did 2 surgeries, to get clean margins, then 6 rounds if chemo, taxotere and cytoxan, 35 rads treatments now tamoxifen for 5 years. I had clean nodes and 7.3 mass. I din't there is a standard treatment everyone gets a very indivdualized treatment plan. I'm post menopausal I couldn't tolerate AIs so I'm on tamoxifen. God Bless your journey

I had IDC only, ER+ and went through surgery - partial mastectomy only, then chemo 4 rounds and 33 radiation treatments. Again, we are all very individual so your treatment, Nanette, will be based on size of tumors, stage and grade which is done after surgery, and if there is any lymph node involvement. Word of Advice: Don't read too much on the Internet. Can make you very crazy and terrified.

Me too , how much info do you have ? It's very unusual to have both ! All I know at moment is ductal and lobular oestrogen sensitive (good thing) and aprox 2cm (feels much bigger) if no more shows up on MRI it will be lumpectomy , radiation and not sure about chemo yet . Ill know more on 27th . They treat it just the same as ductal on its own it all depends on pathology and size xx

I'm on tamoxifen also ,from first time around , do you think it's possible that 3 months of tamoxifen could shrink the Tumor I could swear its got smaller ! It's prob imagination lol

It may BE smaller but I don't think the Tamoxifen had anything to do with it. ;)

Thanks Ladies. I have had a lumpectomy, and rads and will get Tamoxifen next. I just think about the combo of ductal and lobular and wonder if t should have gone for a bilateral mastectomy . My ONCO score was low,4 so I did not need chemo, thank heavens. I had enough trouble with just rads! Blessings to all on this journey.
