I found out I had a malignant tumor in my left breast on December 21st. I was in the hospital on New Years Eve having a Double Mastectomy (I opted to have a double mostly because there was something wonky in my other breast and I knew I could only do this once). After all the tests I was diagnosed with Stage 2 IDC triple positive. I really drug my feet regarding Chemo, I was totally on board with the Herceptin and Tomoxifin but was unconvinced that the benefits of Chemo outweighed the potential side effects. Mostly I was scared to death. Then my Onco tests came back off the charts, so I gave in and will be starting Chemo soon.
